In high school I became interested in independent publishing, making my own zines and stickers. So, when I saw the beginnings of the Internet, I learned all that I could and quickly got a job managing the first online shopping site in the action sports industry. Since then, I’ve been employed at various design agencies, assisted many artists, owned a retail shop, and worked freelance on numerous websites and print jobs.
I’m good at taking all of the raw elements of a project and putting them together in a concise and functional way. I approach each job with flexibility to meet the needs of each client. Every job begins with a conversation where we'll try to discover all of the needed elements to make the project great. Next, I create a schedule and a few basic design sketches—usually a simple, wire-frame version to flesh out the projects key items. Once the schedule is approved, we'll move on to the actual design concepts. Depending on the type of job, I might spend extra time planning the design, testing ideas or gathering content materials like photography.
Once our concept is finalized we'll start building the project. I have produced projects of all shapes and sizes: books, posters, t-shirts, skateboards, logos, blogs, e-commerce sites, CD-roms, screen savers, viral videos, vinyl records, toys and more. Some jobs are too big for just me, so I’m good at bringing other developers together while managing the project economically, efficiently and creatively.
Thank you for your time and please get in
